World College Poker Championship 2021

Test your mettle at the World College Poker Championship and see if you have what it takes the beat the best young talent out there.

The World College Poker Championship is the first-ever global series for students across the world. And in collaboration with PokerStars, students will have a chance to compete against each other to determine who is the 2021 World College Poker champion.

There’ll be a host of awesome prizes up for grabs. These include an exclusive European Poker Tour (EPT) package and a trophy for the winner.

World College Poker Championship schedule

Registration for World College Poker Championship events will open on May 24.

The Championship will be split into four stages:

  • Round One (July 24) – all players from across the globe can compete in a Round 1 tournament. These will be exclusive to each continent and there’ll be six regions. The top 50 finishers from each continent will qualify for Round Two.
  • Round Two (July 31) – 300 qualifiers from Round One will compete to be one of the 45 players that makes it to Round Three. The stack will be carried from Round Two to Round Three.
  • Round Three (August 7) – The last 45 players will play until we get a final six. The remaining six players will get a spot at the Final Table in Round Four.
  • Round Four – Final Table (TBA) – The top six finishers will compete to be crowned the World College Poker Champion.

  • Register for your World College Poker tournament here.
  • Use the ticket we send you to compete in the online event at your scheduled time.

World College Championship Terms & Conditions

What is being offered?

  • Magical Gnome Media LLC DBA, with a registered address at World College Poker 4821 Lankershim Blvd #F431, North Hollywood, CA 91601, trading as World College Poker (“WCP”) is the promoter of the World College Championship (“WCC”/”Promotion”), an online poker tournament with zero entry fees, which is exclusive to players between the ages of 18 to 29 years old who are currently enrolled at a college or university around the world, who meet the eligibility criteria set out below (“Players”).
  • The WCC consists of three rounds of Freerolls (“WCC Freerolls”), where the top six players, after the third round of WCC Freeroll, will compete in the final table of the WCC (“WCC final table”).
  • The WCC Freerolls will be hosted on the PokerStars site (“Site”) and the WCC final table will take place during a PokerStars-sponsored live event. Details of such live event will be confirmed at a later stage depending on the situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the relevant restrictions. If Players attending physically the WCC final table are deemed insecure or unsafe due to the Covid-19 pandemic and any relevant restrictions, the WCC final table will be hosted online on the Site.
  • As part of the Promotion, WCP will be giving out prizes to Players depending on their finishing position in the WCC. A full list of prizes is available on the WCP website.

When is the Promotion being conducted?

  • Players can sign up on the WCP website from May 24, 2021 at 15:00 ET until July 22, 2021 at 03:00 ET (“Duration”). Throughout the Duration, Players who sign up on the WCP website will be credited with a WCC Freeroll ticket that can be used to register the Players for the WCC Freerolls Round 1 on the Site.
  • The WCC Freerolls will take place on the following dates:
    • WCC Freerolls Round 1 – July 24, 2021 – Top 50 players in each of the WCC Freerolls Round 1 will be automatically registered to WCC Freerolls Round 2.
    • WCC Freerolls Round 2 – July 31, 2021 – Top 45 players in WCC Freerolls Round 2 will be automatically registered in WCC Freerolls Round 3. Each Player’s chip amount will be carried forward to the start of play in WCC Freerolls Round 3.
    • WCC Freerolls Round 3 – August 7, 2021 – Top 6 players at the end of WCC Freerolls Round 3 will play at the WCC final table.
    • The date, time and location of the WCC final table will be confirmed to the top 6 players of the WCC Freerolls Round 3 at a later date.

Who is eligible to take part in the Promotion and how can Players qualify?

  • For the purposes of this Promotion, only Players who meet the conditions below can participate:
    • Players whose registered PokerStars.net account is verified;
    • Players whose PokerStars.net account is not currently blocked for any reason, and who are not excluded, including self-excluded, from using their PokerStars account;
    • Players who are currently enrolled at a college or university;
    • Players of at least 18 years of age;
    • Players who signed up on the WCP website and had their registration approved.
  • Players residing in the following territories are not allowed to participate in the WCC:
    • Spain
    • Italy
    • Portugal
  • Players residing in the following States in the USA cannot participate:
    • Pennsylvania
    • Michigan
    • New Jersey

What else do Players need to know?

  • All issued tickets for the WCC Freerolls Round 1 will expire on July 25, 2021 03:00 ET, and any unused tickets will be forfeited without any compensation.
  • All issued tickets for WCC Freerolls Round 1 are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
  • By registering for the WCC, Players are bound by the WCP Terms and Conditions, which can be found here.

Rational Poker School Limited and the Stars Group (“PokerStars”) are not promoters of this Promotion. PokerStars will only host the WCC on the Site and will sponsor the WCC final table. PokerStars shall not be liable to Players for any claims related to the Promotion or in respect of the Promotion’s prizes and/or gifts. To the extent permitted by law, PokerStars do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any Players as a result of either participating in the Promotion or being selected for a prize. PokerStars shall not be responsible for inaccurate Promotion and/or prize details supplied to Players by any third party connected with this Promotion and shall not be responsible for any actions of third parties related to this Promotion. The winner and/or any participants and/or third parties shall not be entitled nor authorized in any way to commit PokerStars to any contract, expense or cost entered into or incurred without PokerStars' advance written acceptance of the same.
