Metatone can be taken every day as long as you follow the dosage instructions given to you by your doctor or pharmacist, or by the manufacturer.
Like all medications, Metatone tonic can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them.
These side effects include symptoms of a severe allergic reaction.
If you experience any of the following side effects, stop use and seek immediate medical assistance:
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Swelling of the face, mouth, lips, tongue, or throat
- Skin rash (hives)
Other side effects you may experience include:
- Abdominal (stomach) discomfort
- Feeling sick
- Being sick
- Diarrhoea
- Constipation
If you experience these or any other side effects while taking this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended daily dose of Metatone differs depending on your age.
We’d recommend taking the following doses of this product unless advised otherwise by your doctor or pharmacist:
- Adults and children over 12 years: Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls two to three times a day. Take before meals. Do not take more than 30ml a day
- Children aged 6 - 12 years: Take one 5ml spoonful two to three times a day. Take before meals. Do not take more than 15ml a day
- Children under 6: This product is not suitable for kids under the age of 6 unless advised otherwise by your doctor. Follow the dosage recommended by your doctor carefully in these circumstances
If you’re diabetic, we’d recommend speaking to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Metatone.
The tonic contains both glucose and sucrose, which are both sugars, but a medical professional can help you to decide whether this product is right for you.
Metatone doesn’t include any of the ingredients commonly known to be derived from animals.
However, it doesn’t carry any vegan certification, so we’d recommend checking the ingredients for yourself so you can decide whether this product is suitable for you.
